You now know the letters, the signs, the main rules of tajweed and your first words. Fluency comes from steady practice.

A daily routine

• Read a few verses every day, slowly. Turn transliteration off as soon as you can.
• Listen to the same verses from a reciter and follow along, slowing the recitation down if you need to.
• Repeat a verse until you can say it together with the reciter.
• Come back to the alphabet and the lessons here whenever something is unclear.
