Quba has no account, no analytics and no tracking. Here is what stays on your phone and the few times the app goes online.
Your prayers and your reading are between you and Allah. We think an app that helps with them should know as little about you as possible, so Quba is built to collect nothing at all.
No account, no tracking
There is nothing to sign up for. The app has no advertising, no analytics and no tracking, and we run no servers that receive data from it.
What stays on your phone
- Your location. It is used on the phone to calculate prayer times and the Qibla direction, and never sent to us. If you'd rather not share it at all, you can pick your city from a list built into the app.
- Your reading. Bookmarks, where you stopped, memorised surahs and settings live only on your phone. Deleting the app deletes them.
- Notifications. The adhan and reminders are scheduled locally. No push service is involved.
When the app goes online
Only when you ask it to: to stream or download a recitation, or to download the pages of the printed mushaf when you read in page view. Everything else, including the Quran text, translation, tafsir and prayer calculation, is already on your phone.
