بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
94:1
أَلَمْ نَشْرَحْ لَكَ صَدْرَكَ
Have We not reassured your heart for you [O Prophet]¹,
94:2
وَوَضَعْنَا عَنكَ وِزْرَكَ
and relieved you of your burden²
94:3
ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنقَضَ ظَهْرَكَ
that weighed down your back,
94:4
وَرَفَعْنَا لَكَ ذِكْرَكَ
and raised high your fame for you³?
94:5
فَإِنَّ مَعَ ٱلْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا
For indeed, with hardship comes ease⁴,
94:6
إِنَّ مَعَ ٱلْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا
indeed, with hardship comes ease.
94:7
فَإِذَا فَرَغْتَ فَٱنصَبْ
So whenever you are free⁵, strive in worship,
94:8
وَإِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَٱرْغَب
and turn to your Lord in devotion.
